Better than rain boots

One of the things at the top of my Christmas wish list this year was a new pair of rain boots. While I did contemplate purchasing Hunters, I opted to try and find a non-traditional pair- something that looked like a regular leather boot but was waterproof, warm, and durable. Every time it rains all you see is a flood of Hunter boots, but if you think about it, taking away the "Hunter label" all you're left with is a pair of plain rubber boots. So not worth the money to me. I also hate the idea of having to change shoes, especially being in a business casual environment, it would be such a hassle to have to bring shoes and change out of them.

I was shopping around Montclair and stopped into one of my favorite shoe stores on church street, Tory Janes, and finally ended my search for the perfect boot.

I purchased them at the store during their 20% off sale for about $170 but then found them online for just  $109 *kicks self in butt*. They're having a huge 75% off sale on their website through 1/3/12, so get on that! 

Anyway, I absolutely LOVE them! They look just like a regular brown leather boot, the inside is insulated and comfy, and they're completely impermeable meaning I can trudge through puddles and snow wearing these. The leather is tanned with silicone which repels water, genius. They come in a few colors also. If you're on the hunt for new waterproof boots, I would definitely suggest getting these! These will be replacing my uggs and rubber boots for sure.
